2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
• Account Information: name, email address, business name, phone number, and password when you register for an account.
• Profile Information: carrier details (MC/DOT numbers, equipment types, insurance status), load data, broker contacts, and operational preferences.
• Payment Information: billing address and payment method details processed securely via Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
• Communications: support requests, feedback, survey responses, and correspondence with our team.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
• Usage Data: pages visited, features used, time spent, clicks, and interactions within the platform.
• Device Information: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
• Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. Optional analytics cookies help us improve the platform. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings.

4. Data Ownership & Our Role
4.1 Carrier Data Ownership
Carrier information (including MC/DOT numbers, contact details, equipment specifications, insurance status, and load history) is owned by the motor carrier to whom it pertains. Dispatchers who upload carrier data to our platform do so as authorized agents of the carrier. By uploading carrier data, you represent and warrant that you have obtained all necessary consents from the carrier to process their information through our Services.
4.2 Our Role as Data Processor
For purposes of applicable data protection laws (including GDPR and CCPA), United Lanes LLC acts as a 'data processor' or 'service provider' with respect to carrier and dispatcher data. We process data solely on behalf of our users (the 'controllers') to provide the Services. We do not sell, rent, or monetize your data. We do not use carrier or dispatcher data for our own marketing purposes.
4.3 No Integration with TruckerDB
TruckDispatching.co and TruckerDB are separate platforms operated by separate entities. While we may promote TruckerDB as a complementary service for finding carrier leads, there is no technical integration, data sharing, or joint processing between the platforms unless you explicitly authorize a separate connection. Any data sharing with TruckerDB is governed by TruckerDB's own privacy policy and terms.
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
• Service Providers: With trusted third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf (e.g., Stripe for payment processing, Clerk for authentication, Vercel for hosting). These partners are contractually obligated to protect your data and process it only per our instructions.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law, subpoena, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of TruckDispatching.co, our users, or the public.
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as a business asset. You will be notified via email or prominent notice of any change in ownership.
• With Your Consent: We may share information with your explicit permission for purposes you authorize at the time of consent.
6. Data Security, Breach Notification & Retention
Security Measures: We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, multi-tenant data isolation via Clerk authentication, regular security audits, and access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
